1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Helixa app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use the app. We recommend reviewing these terms periodically as they may be updated at any time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Helixa. If you are using Helixa to track GLP-1 medication, you represent and warrant that you have a valid prescription for such medication from a licensed healthcare provider. Helixa does not verify prescriptions or dispensation status.

3. What Helixa Is

Helixa is a personal tracking and informational tool designed to help you monitor and understand your GLP-1 medication usage, side effects, and progress. The app provides educational information, tracking features, and personalized insights based on your input data.

4. What Helixa Is Not — Important Disclaimers

NOT a Medical Device: Helixa is not a medical device and is not FDA approved, cleared, or regulated as a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, cure, mitigate, prevent, or treat any medical condition.

Pharmacokinetic (PK) Level Estimates: The app’s PK level estimates are based on a simplified one-compartment pharmacokinetic model using published population averages. These estimates do NOT represent your actual blood levels and should NOT be used for clinical decision-making. Actual blood levels vary significantly between individuals based on individual factors not captured by the model.

“How You Compare” Benchmarks: Benchmark comparisons shown in the “How You Compare” section are derived from clinical trial averages. Individual results vary considerably, and comparison to trial averages does not indicate whether your results are healthy or appropriate for you personally.

Dose Guide Information: Information provided in the Dose Guide is educational in nature and sourced from publicly available prescribing information. Always follow the dosing guidance of your licensed healthcare provider. Never adjust your dosage based on information in Helixa without consulting your prescriber.

AI Coach: Responses from the AI Coach feature (powered by Google Gemini) are not reviewed by medical professionals and do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Use this feature for general informational purposes only. Always consult your healthcare provider for medical advice.

Side Effect Tracking: The side effects tracking feature is intended for personal reference only. If you experience severe side effects, contact your healthcare provider immediately or seek emergency medical care.

5. User Responsibilities

  • Never change your medication dosage based solely on information provided by Helixa. Always consult your healthcare provider.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information when using the app, including weight, dosage, and other health-related data.
  • Keep your account credentials secure and do not share them with others.
  • Report any technical bugs or errors to support@helixaapp.com.
  • Use the app in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

6. Account and Data

You can delete your data or account at any time through the Settings section of the app. We recommend exporting your data before deletion if you wish to retain a copy. If we believe your account is being used in violation of these terms, we may suspend or terminate your account without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and intellectual property of the Helixa app are owned by Kirubel. Your user-generated data and information belongs to you. You grant us a license to use your data as necessary to provide and improve the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

Helixa is provided “as is” without any warranty, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kirubel shall not be liable for:

  • Any health outcomes, adverse events, or medication-related injuries resulting from use of the app
  • Any medical decisions made based on information provided by Helixa
  • Inaccuracies in PK estimates, benchmarks, or other calculations
  • Loss of data, service interruptions, or technical failures
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

The maximum aggregate liability of Kirubel shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the service ($0 for free users).

9. Termination

Kirubel may discontinue or modify Helixa at any time with notice to users. You may delete your account and cease using the service at any time through the app settings.

10. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of Helixa shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in the State of Maryland.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify you of material changes through in-app notifications. Your continued use of Helixa after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
